Back to Winning

OGS had a decent chance at the back post but Bill was largely untroubled in the first half. Hibs looked more threatening and took the lead after 15 minutes. A set-piece ended in a bit of penalty area mayhem and Nick picked up the loose ball and smashed it in from 10 yards. Confidence started to flow and Bolts got the second soon after. Will delivered an inviting ball from a free-kick and Bolts headed in for his 12th goal of the season. Somehow Panda failed to hit the target from six yards as his first Cosmo goal remains elusive. OGS’ ‘keeper was having a great game. He denied will from distance and Sergio from close range. The closest Hibs players thought the ball had crossed the line, but in the gloom it was difficult to tell from distance. Hibs got a third in the in the first part of the second half. Luqman drilled a cross to Bolts at the far post and his excellent header back across goal looked to be going in but Sergio made sure. The lads were playing well with Maayan and Will only stopped by fouls and Bolts causing real problems. 3-0 but OGS came back strongly. They pulled one back through a one-on-one and nearly had a second from a similar situation. Hibs had a couple of half-chances to but it ended 3-1. We look forward to meeting again in the Cup, OGS, and their MoM was the 'keeper. Will was the Hibs MoM clearly showing off for his mum in the stands. One more to go….
