Finally!!!

After a couple of dispointing recent results we got back to winning ways against Hibs. Purple Monkeys wonderkid Harry was promoted through the ranks at the last minute to fill the void in CM with so many guys away. It paid off as Harry "Styles" Shaw stole the show putting in a composed performance in midfield. We started with great intensity and were moving the ball around well. We created a few half chances on the right wing with darren twisting and turning but we didn't put them away. We tried the other wing and brian ran straight through and passed it in for 1-0. Within 10 mins it was 2-0 as brian found the net again after more direct running. Before half time a speculative pass from ? saw mark run in beat the keeper and make it 3-0 at HT. It was dificult to keep up the intensity after HT and Hibs started to put the pressure on with some long high balls. Hibs got a deserved goal when dan made a deep run from midfield and made no mistake with the finish. We had it seemed 10 chances afterwards with addy and toomey smashing everything except the back of the net. Hibs were still lumping balls into the box and it was getting a little ropey but up stepped the juice to will in the 4th and give us a chance to relax for the final 10 minutes. We did enough to win today and there were some good performances from Adri leading us in midfield and Benji back at fb but MOM goes to the 15 year old with a superb debut in midfield. Hopefully the new year will bring some more wins fro Aioli Pm as we look to push on up the table. Thanks to Hibs who never gave up, looking forward to the replay. Happy christmas

One to Forget

Hibs continued where the fancy dress Christmas party left off; some were unrecognisable, others worse for wear and many missing. Aioli had enough chances to win three games so credit to them and only their diabolical finishing left the score as anything resembling a competitive match. Hibs struggled to get out of their own half for the majority of the first period. It took longer than it should have for the home side to score and going in 3-0 down at half-time was a result for Hibs. After a reshuffle it was better, Alex was outstanding in goal and will regret not using this as his GCSE assessment submission. Aioli continued to test the net beyond the goal as they created several good opportunities. Dan pulled a goal back after Maayan threaded a ball through. Seb then showed great technique to work the keeper with a rising volley. Aioli finally bagged the fourth and that was that. Well done to Alex for his Man of the Match display Aioli's left-winger was a constant threat.
