GSC vs Vikings

Another hot kick off at 1pm saw. GSC and Vikings didn't want to give any space in 1st half. Few chances on both sides where neither teams wanted give any clear shot. On a good movement, GSC could have obtained a penalty but the ref decided otherwise. 0-0 at half time. Few changes were operated at half time. The game opened up in 2nd half with Vikings opening the score just before the water break when GSC stopped putting intensity. A floating ball in the box was all Viking needed to open the score: 1-0. GSC had their chances but didn't manage to finish. Symptomatic of this season start. On another counter attacking move after the water break, Viking sealed their victory. 2-0 Thanks a lot to Vikings and the ref for a well contested game. Till next week in the cup for what can be expected as another intense game :)

Match Report - Vikings vs OGS

Match report In a first half played in blistering Singapore sunshine , OGS and the Singapore Vikings played out a very tight game. Very few chances from either side with neither side able to fully take control of the game. In the second half the game opened up with Vikings using pace from the bench to press the OGS defence. In turn OGS countered nicely several times to create some decent opportunities, which were handled well by David in Goal for Vikings. Mid way through the second half, vikings went 1-0 when usual Captain Tomas came off the bench to finish nicely. With a few substitutions and some reshuffling in the back line for Vikings, we managed to create another counter attacking move where our 2 Czech maestros combined when Tomas slid a lovely pass to Albert on the left who finished very well. A well contested tight match that finished 2-0 to Vikings, but anything but comfortable. Well played to OGS. I would say best of luck next week, but we meet again in the cup. :) Thank you also to the ref and his assistants.
