Fazrul Nawaz SFC welcomed a fit and strong Gaelic Lions to Dulwich College, for our first Cosmo League match of 2025. The preparation and pre match talk focused on keeping things tight and expecting a strong battle from Gaelic, who were sitting in 3rd in the league. Sadly for SFC those warnings weren't heeded and two key stone cops goals ensued. SFC finding themselves 2-0 after twenty minutes. A quick reshuffle saw SFC regain their footing and with Joe Claridge pulling one back. The two teams went in at half time with the scoreline reading 2-1 to Gaelic. 3 changes at half time saw Fazrul, Liam and Carlos introduced as SFC looked to make up the deficit. Unfortunately for SFC, Gaelic had other plans and scored a third goal, against the run of play. Despite plenty of possession SFC never got back in to the game, and Gaelic ran out deserved winners. Congratulations to Gaelic Lions. Wishing you all the best for the remainder of the season.

--Took on the league champions on Saturday with a very solid Lions squad ready to go. Started the 1st quarter the stronger and were rewarded with a peach of a finish from Shane, 1-0. The second goal arrived shortly after with some luck involved. After the water break SFC responded through a nice finish from Joe and were more threatening throughout the quarter. The lads and Derek in goal stood firm and we took a 2-1 lead into the break. A couple of subs at half time gave us energy and SFC, as expected, started with more possession. However, we managed to catch them on the break a few times and Shane got his 3rd of the game with the aid of a big deflection!! SFC kept coming but our overall effort and structure was very solid. We also had a goal chalked off for a ghost foul but we were delighted with the result. Cheers SFC as always and fair play to the ref and his assistances!
