Nick Marsh First half fairly even. We had a couple of goals disallowed but kept pushing. Hibs started the second half well with a nice cross and back post header to take the lead. We came back with a brace from MOM Soshi, first a penalty and second well taken goal around the keeper to tap in. We had the game under control but sadly a sloppy pass handed possession over and credit to Hibs' player who smacked a long range effort into the top corner. Scrappy end to the game. Disappointing result. Thanks to Hibs for the game.

--Under searing heat at kick-off, Hibernian FC and SFC battled to an entertaining 2-2 draw in a game that ebbed and flowed with drama, skill, and a touch of controversy. The first half, played in punishing conditions, saw both teams struggle to find rhythm early, with hydration breaks proving crucial as the sun blazed down. All four goals came after the interval, as the match opened up and the tempo increased. Hibs were first to strike, opening the scoring with a perfectly shaped header by James from a Pedro cross, rising above the SFC defender at the far post to direct it beyond the keeper and into the side netting. SFC equalised shortly after, through an incredibly controversial penalty. The referee pointed to the spot following an off-the-ball incident in which an SFC player threw himself to the floor in the box, and that left the Hibs defenders furious and confused. Their winger stepped up and calmly dispatched the penalty, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way. SFC then took the lead with just over 20 minutes to play. Their striker found himself one-on-one with the keeper and showed great composure to slot it home and turn the game on its head. But Hibs hit back with ten minutes to go in stunning fashion. Tiago collected the ball off of Jack and, without hesitation, unleashed a sexy 25-yard rocket that flew into the top corner—a goal worthy of rescuing any match. Both sides searched for a winner in the closing stages, but the oppressive heat and fatigue took their toll. In the end, though Hibs had edged the encounter throughout, a draw was a fair enough result in a game that ignited in the second half and left both sides with plenty to talk about.
