Latinis RORing start continues

The first Friday Night Lights (FNL) of the season and 1TM Latini produced a solid display to chalk up 3 valuable points against an impressive Nippon. 1TM Latini opened the scoring early on with Pet Shop bagging a 40 yard freekick that was meant as a cross. It lofted over everybody including the Nippon keeper and ended up in the top bin. He wasn’t crowned pre-season FootGolf champion for no reason. Nippon replied sharpishly with an early contender for Cosmo Goal of the season. After a headed clearance from Captain Eyebrows the Nippon striker unleashed a ridiculous half volley from 30 yards which arrowed into the top left corner at the pace of a Japanese Bullet Train – Bravo. HT 1-1. Super strike! You could have been forgiven for thinking a competitive 2nd half was heading for a split pot in terms of points with both teams struggling for an opening. However, Coach Price had strength in depth on the bench and 1TM Latini were able to finish the stronger of the two teams. With 10 mins remaining a long ball and neat chest from Yacob found debutant Rory A one on one in the box. The youngster was cynically brought down – penalty. Codhead stepped up to cooly convert. 2-1. With legs heavy after an intense game it was youth that sealed the game, Jonny L played a lovely through ball to Rory A and he made no mistake with a clinical finish into the bottom right hand corner, thus wrapping up an excellent victory. FT 3-1. Big thanks to Jonny Allen and Nick Anderson for coming down to support. Good luck to Nippon for the season. MOM 1TM Latini – Rory A on debut with a goal and an assist. MOM Nippon – #44 who has an early candidate for Goal of the Season already! A week off then a tough battle against the Garlic

Bitter beginning of the season

The pitch was announced to be the Centaurs but it was Cage turf city. Our squad physical was in the shape, well prepared with pre-season matches. But we can't get form perfect squad due to the Friday. Latini seemed to be well prepared for the season. Minato was aggressively made several shots at the begging. But Latini GK looked huge protecting their goal. The first goal was by Latini FK from a distance. The shot find slight space between our GK hand and goal bar. (25min:0-1) But Kaki saved our soul. He intercepted a Latini pass and dribbled a bit. He kicked bouncing ball to the tiny corner spot that gigantic couldn’t reach. Great equalizer. (30min: 1-1) Both team had chances until the end of half. We have changed several exhausted players. Yasu was one of them. This was his come back to Cosmoleague from his ACL cut. However We gave a penalty to them. (65min: 1-2) We took a risk to press forward, but Latini scored with short counter attacking. (85min: 1-3)
