Hibs started the game lively and did find a few openings early on, the first being a result of our ‘target man up-top’ big Andy P. After stretching their defence from a well-timed ball by Lippy, Andy managed to turn the defender to get a shot on goal, sadly over the bar. The hot weather probably allowed both teams too much time on the ball but neither side being the more clinical to deserve a lead at half time. After a much needed water break, play resumed in much of the same vein despite a few end to end counter attacks from both teams. After a quick sub just before half time, Heljar off with a groin injury / Titmarsh straight on to replace, the score remained 0-0 after 45 minutes. For the second Half commentary, I’ll take you straight to the Live Feed from our very own super sub, Ben Raper. “Optimistic half time talk with the consensus we have more to give. Bit more composure on the ball required and Lippy and Andy to keep running the channels to give the option when nothing on. Buffy telling us it’s our game for the taking. Whistle blown – both teams head out. Joey is followed by a trail of deep heat (as the kid is made of glass). 18:11pm - Game becoming end to end. Save by Hibs keeper results in break to Buffy but the ball given away on the edge of the oppositions area, Buffy and Lippy not quite linking up. Knotty has been working extremely hard in the middle of the pitch and does well in breaking forward with some cute feet leaving the opposition in his wake. Unfortunately again it breaks down in the final third. 18:13pm - TGA starting to get more comfortable on the ball, a deep cross from their number 10 sees a header at the back post rocket into the Hibs net. 1-0 TGA. 18:16pm - Titmarsh is megged on the edge of the area and resulting shot from their no. 10 rifles against the Cross Bar. 18:18pm – Our omnipresent Captain wins a free kick in the middle of the park but the deep ball is dealt with by their big nosed centre half who makes Boycey’s snozzer look regular sized. 18:22 – TGA’s deflected shot rebounds dangerously of the post and Joey then heads off the line. Lippy trying to create an attacking threat but fizzles out on the half way line. 18:23 – Buffy looks to bench, is it time for Raper / Commentator?… apparently not, his services clearly better suited to reporting on the game rather than affecting it. 18:29 – A very soft corner results in 2-0 deficit as the ball goes in/off strikers back – very unlucky.” Sadly folks, that’s where the commentary ends as Raper joins the field in a straight swap for Nico. Pascal also on for Clem as we switch to a 4-4-2 trying to stop TGA from getting the ball so wide…. Didn’t seem to work, 3-0 down closely followed. Just managing to beat the light/Thunderstorms, final whistle blown and deserved win for TGA – Once again Hibs contemplate what could have been. MOM for Hibs goes to Knotty again (Our little scouse Ginge has been working his socks off the last few games). Andy also gets a mention for great work rate up front. MOM for TGA to their Striker for his hatrick, a couple well taken goals with good movement. Good to see Sharples back on the pitch and with a shirt on his back for a change too after his long injury lay off (suffered against us).

Fraser on half-fire

Still missing our honorable captain Nate this weekend, facing Hibs at their lovely home-pitch PSA, luckily bundled with lovely weather. Bright news for Rangers this weekend is the back of goer-MS in squad of this game after 9 months of recovery & patience, but with horse costume (lol). The game started with good tempo for Rangers, having a ball possession well and keep a defensive line tight in first half, however lacking of quality in delivery and finishing made us scoreless board at half time. With a team talk during the interval, we keep our pace in second half too and finally our another horse-costumed Fraser strikes the ball from his horse-costumed buddy Dan and opened his show of the day. Two horse-costume flashed around their combination again in 15 mins later to make it 2-0 up. Today, high-blower Fraser can't stop at two, kept on trying to climb up the top scorer sheet, and he made third in last 10 mins of the game to decide the game for us. Jordan, Olly and Jin effectively came on second half and made this performance happened in second half. Finally the return of shaples-horse came on last 10 mins to show off his six-pack. Last but not least, Tuomas and defensive line made a clean sheet to make this 3pts happened should be encouraged to continue this momentum for next week. Keep it up lads!!
