Due to incompetence, I was asked to write the match report on deadline day. This means it will be as short as possible and lacking in any real content. Lions came out of the blocks (shock) which caught us by surprise and got their goal. We then passed it around for 60 minutes until Liam came on and scored. Draw was a fair result.

Friday night lights and quite the buzz at Turf City for the top-of-the-table meeting between the Lions and the reigning champions SCC. Lions missed two clear-cut chances, then took the lead early through Rhino, SCC came into the game but never really troubling Anders apart from one strike towards the end and we finished the first half very comfortably. Second half began with a blatant penalty being turned down, a more clear-cut penalty you will never see. SCC soldiered on and got the equalizer with 10 mins or so to go. Looking forward to the return leg.
