Japanese counterattacks start from here

Christmas holidays, New Year's holidays are over, Nippon riding momentum by a draw with SCC, victoriously over Aioli. The game began with a cool goal of Sue,as soon as the first half started.1-0 After that, the attack of Aioli began. However, it was Jack Uchida who got additional points.2-0 Aioli's goalkeeper was high in physical ability and we were shielded many times and the free kicks were all caught.Second half was much more open with 2 goals by Jack and Sue again. 4-0 After the second water break, we added four attackers to the pitch to make it super-aggressive, but we gave PK that we could not understand.4-1 The second win for Nippon this season after having lost many chances to get 3 points. Thanks Aioli for the fighting spirit till the end and excellent referees for the match. Nippon's counterattack has just begun.

No Harry No Party

A disappointing afternoon for Aioli Monkeys saw us slip to a 4-1 defeat to an impressive Nippon side on a Saturday afternoon scorcher at Turf City. We were 1-0 down inside the first 2 mins and despite a good spell towards the end of the first half, in which Joel hit a post and Addy missed a great chance, we struggled to match Nippon’s energy throughout the game and they ran out comfortable winners in the end. On the positive side Eneko and Mikel had good debuts from the bench and look like a couple of solid additions. We also said farewell to Joel, who played his last game in Singapore before moving back to Europe. Big thanks to Joel for his contribution both on and off the pitch in the last 2 years. On to next week!
