A Tale of Two Halves

Another Friday night under the lights for Hotspurs, but things didn't go quite like they did last week in terms of the result. Rangers turned up with a strong team and made the most of a dominant first 45- scoring 4 goals in quick succession, and pouncing clinically on a series of Hotspurs errors. Hotspurs came back into the game in an open second half though- looking much more organised and up for a battle. JD brought things back to 4-1 with a clinical finish from a Greene cross, and Daniel gave Hotspurs a glimmer of hope shortly afterwards, scoring a lovely solo effort. Hotspurs couldn't build any further on that though, and things finished 4-2. Certainly a tale of two halves. Congratulations to Rangers on a well-earned win, and on to next week.

Yin and Yang

Another Friday night lights game paired us up against the in form Hotspurs team, fresh on the back of a victory against the French a week previous. TGA started better than we usually do and managed to dominate the first half. The intensity we had led to pressure on the Hotspurs players and mistakes from this did give us chances we maybe would have had before. First half goals from Sharples, Frando, Nate and Victor (long range beauty) set the tone for an impressive first half, 4-0. As usual we didn’t seem to piece it together in the second half. With our substitutions made and Hotspurs improving it led to a 15 minute spell when the result was in real jeopardy. Two quick goals brought the score back to 4-2 and the game fortunately settled down after for TGA to comfortably walk out winners. Final score 4-2.
