Report

Another Yellow raining afternoon

A very efficient afternoon for OG that took the lead within the first few minute of the game by exploiting an opponent mistake. From their we converted our next 3 chances to make it a heavy 4-0 after 20min. The Germans-Swiss could have deserved to score a few within the first half but they to often lacked efficiency in the last ball. On the contrary, OG score a 5th goal before the break. 5-0 HT Second half was all about keeping the focus and avoid silly mistake / cards. Germans came back with clear intension to improve from the 1st half and started to pressure higher. Within 10min, on a conner headed by a German guy from 4m of the line, our defender tried to clear it with his chest but touched the ball with his hand. Red + Penalty, until the linesman decided otherwise and mentioned the ball was already in. This was converted to goal + red card... From there the game became a bit weird and crazy for the next 15min until OG scored the 6th goal to kill the game. Ultimately OG scored a 7th one in the dying minute to make it a very flattering result.

Report

A day to forget for the GSAS vs a clinical OG side.

Trying to make up for being outclassed by Vikings last week GSAS´ hopes were high in the first minute when Mitch had a promising chance. At exactly 1:36 a horrible defensive error allowed Remi to slot home for the French side, and it continued like this for the remainder of the half: GSAS with decent chances and ball possession, OG with goals. 5:0 HT… OG shifting down a gear gave GSAS even more chances, either to be denied by the crossbar, bad luck, a great OG Goalie, or whatever else one can think of. So GSAS consolation goal had to be controversial. Ball was going towards goal, OG defender using his hand, goal line technology reacted, ref whistles only to give a straight red and penalty or double yellow and goal, or straight red and goal, or double yellow and penalty. After “consultation” with the linesman and OG team decision was goal and said player sent off…… After that incident ball possession was with the GSAS only to find themselves countered twice again. 7:1 FT… GSAS played much better than last week, only to be hammered. Individual mistakes in the back cost us 7, missing chance after chance gave us only 1. A week of silence to re-think and then back in action with hopefully some more points before Christmas. Thanks OG for a fair game despite the many yellow cards, good luck for the remainder of the Season.
