Colin Gray Hibs were comfortable winners in this Cup run-out against PM Banter as Dan got his first of the season from the spot and in-form Julio maintained his hot streak. The pre-game shower made the PSA a lovely place to pass the ball and Hibs stroked the ball about well and had PM Banter defending desperately in the opening stages. Bolts hit the bar with a free-header and then had a one-on-one chance go begging. Will shot just wide twice on his first appearance of the season after injury but Hibs got the chance to take the lead when a raised hand was struck in the box and Dan bobbled it in. It was one-way traffic and Dan should have got himself another penalty when he was felled. It wasn't given. Will continued to threaten until he shot. PM Banter had a couple of half-chances but Colin was not tested. 1-0 at HT and Hibs looked to take the game to PM Banter, who played a higher line, again after the break. Marko hit the post with a header a more half chances went begging. The ref was particularly lenient when Marko was through and got charged off the ball. Julio was driving on the home team and from a stray pass he didn't pass up the invitation to dribble and blast it into the roof of the net for 2-0. PM Banter had one cleared off the line by Boycey but the game got fractured while re-setting for Bolts' (the lanky Inzaghi's) off-sides. Marko went through again from a Col long kick and as the keeper came, Marko lobbed the ball as he was clattered and the ref decided to blow for a foul and free-kick with the ball in the air and then ending up in the corner of the net. Unbelievable. An enjoyable game ended 2-0.
