Tough One!

We were ready for another game hoping to repeat the solid performance from last week against SFC. Lions started the game well once again, finding the crossbar and missing a one-on-one against the keeper. Unlucky, the goal would have gave an different dynamic to the game.. Shortly after the water break, a free kick found Bolts for the header and shortly after, a great through pass to Sergio to finish. 2-0 at half time. The second half was unhappening for the Int'l Lions except for another cross bar (Lucky Billy on that day!) and Hibs managed possession well adding 2 other goals. A tough one for the Int'l Lions still looking for their first points in the league. Well done to the Hibs, a solid team who definitely should be challenging for the top of the league this season as long as Panda is not part of the squad.

6 am Bolts

Hibs secured a comprehensive 4-0 win in the 3pm heat against new CosmoLeague side International Lions. Int Lions didn’t let us settle and had the better openings as Hibs were careless in many ways. Ouss hit the bar with a looping effort and he also forced Bill into a good block clearly loving selecting himself further forward. With our first set piece we went in-front. Max delivered the cross and Bolts was given the freedom of the penalty area to glance it in. The second came quickly after with Max again the provider. His through ball for Sergio sprung the offside trap and the Hibs number 10 drilled in his finish. Two changes for the start of the second half and Hibs quickly got their third goal. Julio’s shot was parried by the ‘keeper and Bolts got his second of the game. The fourth was a lovely goal. Bolts dinked a ball to the back post and young Liam had two glorious touches to cut back and score his first senior goal. There were chances left out there as Dan, Sergio and Bolts (still on a hat-trick) passed up glorious chances and Int Lions hit the bar again through Ouss. A really good performance from the whole squad for 70mims of this game and a welcome clean sheet. MoM was Bolts today who was a real handful filling the stat-sheet this week. Ouss takes MoM for the oppo as their main threat.
