Bidding farewell to Turf City in our last game proved to be a challenging endeavor as we faced the formidable Gaelic Lions. Due to several injuries and the absence of key players, our central defense had struggled over the past two months. Nevertheless, we remained determined to leave an impact and secure the three points. The match commenced with both teams exhibiting high-tempo football. Despite a promising start, marked by precise passing and numerous chances, we failed to convert them into goals. Unfortunately, Gaelics swiftly took the lead, ending the first half with a scoreline of 2-0. The second half saw Gaelics maintaining dominance, extending their lead to 3-0. Despite our efforts, the only goal on our side came from Unni's header, brilliantly assisted by Anatole's impeccable corner, bringing the score to 3-1. Gaelics persisted and concluded the game with a 5-1 victory. Special recognition goes to Fauzi for his exceptional saves and to Cameron for his impressive strikes. The Man of the Match award goes to Anatole for his tenacious performance on the field.

--Comfortable win in the end with the French battling on with injuries and virtually 10 men on the pitch by final whistle. There were a couple of great saves from Shailer -- as is his way -- and typical 60 yard pass to Xav who took it down connect with Daiki who skipped a defender, crossed and Xav at the end to head in from 12. Lovely direct goal. Broke the French down with some great interplay and running from the forwards. Xav sliding it in for Zac running across the backline to take around the keeper. Half time. Third came just after the break. Zac menacing again crossed it the back post and Daiki looped it back over the keeper. Jamie spanked it to make sure from half a yard. French pulled one back from a corner. Swordsy made it four after a pull back from Xav and we got the fifth from a Swordsy cross. Oscar flew in and outstretched it took it past the lunging keeper and Xav rolled it in. Farewell Turf City. And very solid debuts to Matthew and Ilyas.
